The SeeMe lighting system was invented by keen cyclist Jay Singh, after one too many close shaves cycling on his bike in London.
Having experienced many near misses from Buses, HGVs, Vans and cars whilst cycling across London, Jay was forced to jump off of his bike whilst cycling across a T-Junction, due to an HGV Truck pulling out across his path. His bike went under the front wheel and he was lucky his quick reactions saved him from doing so too.
The driver stopped and he and passers by helped Jay up and onto the side of the road. Despite Jay riding with pretty standard cycle lights, the HGV driver said he didn’t see Jay at all as he crossed in front of him and confided that this had happened to him on a few occasions.
Having recovered from his ordeal, Jay took the drivers comments on board and started to look into cycle visibility. Through observation and discussions with friends, relatives and a few HGV drivers he knew, he quickly realised that particularly at dawn, dusk and after dark, the lack of visibility of cyclists to other road users is a key factor in the number of accidents where cyclists can be injured or killed on our roads.
In 2019, after many ideas came and went, Jay came up with a radical new design of cycle light that provides true all-around visibility of the cyclist to other road users.
Since 2019, the SeeMe lighting system operational prototypes have been developed, refined, road tested and continuously improved again and again, until Jay was happy with the final design and approved it for manufacture. We can now say confidently that SeeMe is “the most advanced bicycle light system available in the world today”.
With front and rear SeeMe lights installed on a bicycle, the cyclist is clearly visible through 360 degrees. Using a combination of high lumen LED front and rear lights in combination with super bright LED strip lights radiating to the sides, our lights provide 100% side coverage.
SeeMe lights can also be used as daylight running lights, with three flashing modes as well as three constant modes. With these modes, it can meet all worldwide regulations.
Finally, we have also built in the added security of Ultra HD cameras front and rear, to log any incidents that might occur. They record on a loop and videos/photos can be downloaded from the memory card via a FREE App using the built-in Wi-Fi connectivity or manually if you prefer.
The rear camera can also provide a constant Real-time view if you mount your Smartphone on a handlebar mount and set it up following the instructions in our manual.
When you arrive at your destination, you can quickly remove your SeeMe light by pressing the quick release coupling, leaving the mount securely fixed to the bicycle. Then stow away your light in your work bag and recharge it at your convenience, using the USB-C charging cable provided.
We successfully launched our SeeMe PRO 360 cycle lights on Kickstarter, and after our backers helped us add further refinements, you can now buy a set direct from this website and help us make the cycling world a safer place.
